STAFF: Each year The Raider Soccer Camp assembles an
excellent group of counselors to work with our campers. Not only
are they talented players in their own rights, but the Directors feel
they interact well with children. Please understand that this
brochure was printed in early April, and sometimes people and
plans can change. Anticipated counselors for this summer include:
Tom Breznitsky: Director, Brazilian Soccer Academy Coach “Brez” is the Head Boys’ Soccer Coach at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School. He has developed Raider Soccer into one of the finest high school programs in the nation. In the 32 years that Tom has coached the Raiders, he has compiled an impressive 545-125 record. During the 2004 season he celebrated his 500th victory to rank among the top-five winningest high school soccer coaches in the state. His SPFHS Varsity teams have reached the Group III State Finals twelve out of the past twenty years, winning State Championships in 1987, 1989, 1991, 1992, 1995, 1997 and 1998. His high school teams have been nationally ranked and annually play one of the toughest schedules in the state. He has produced over 50 All State-All Group players and several All-Americans. Breznitsky’s awards and honors include: New Jersey State Coach of the Year, 1985, by Newark Star Ledger; Otto Haas Memorial Coach of the Year Award, 1986, presented by the School and College Official’s Association; chosen as the Region 1 Coach of the Year, 1995, by the National Federation of Interscholastic Coaches Association, receiving their Distinguished Service Award for Soccer; and, selected Eastern Regional Coach of the Year, 2003, by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
